It was the summer of 2015, end of July in Dallas Texas, and hot as all get out. But off of I-30 right smack dab in the middle of Fair Park in South Dallas was Warped Tour. Fifty bands from all over the country- and sometimes world- in one spot for one day (until they head down to Houston to do it again), and I was there to see it right in the middle of me being fifteen. It was my very first time listening to all of those bands I bought CD’s of and it was also my first ever music festival. Fast forward multiple scandals, cast out than brought back Youtube tents, and and actual arrest and Warped Tour was having it’s very last tour in 2018. And although I personally didn’t go, my twitter was filled with #ForeverWarped and droves of people saying they’ll be making “The last show”. And apparently the tour was a success, and people had a lot of fun, but most of all Warped Tour was going to be the nostalgic touring festival we all would miss. If we ever got the chance to miss it that is. Because coming June 2019, Warped is back again for their 25th anniversary! Which although there is nothing wrong with that, always celebrate your accomplishment! However, I think it’s way to soon for an anniversary tour. This opinion probably falls in the “unpopular” category, but it is valid. Firstly, it causes issues with the whole “Warped Tour is over” statement. Turning that statement into what now can look as a publicity stunt to boost ticket sales in 2019. Why not hold off on “cancelling” Warped Tour until early 2019 or at the end of 2018’s tour? If Warped is just going to have a 25th anniversary “tour” (well get to this next) the following year. Second, Warped Fest in my opinion- no matter the year it’s held- should just be in one spot. Making it a touring festival, again contradicts their early statement. But also, the locations that Warped Festival are going to are not even that great (Yes I said it, and yes I’m talking about New Jersey's and California's specifically). I could go into how having a show in Cleveland, OH for only one day was a little weird, and that they should’ve had two there, one in New Jersey, one in California, and one in the South/South-West, but I won't. But finally, it’s frankly just too soon. No one has had a chance to miss festival, no one has had a change to hype up the glory days (except those who were around back when Blink-182 were a no-name group from a no-name place), and no one has had a chance to put up the “bring back Warped” signs. Or simply just let the paint dry on them. Yes, I understand that the window of opportunity to “bring things back” is a small and constantly moving one, but I still they they should’ve held off at least one (or two) more years. Because if you have a great thing, people are always willing to check it out, no matter when it shows up. Or maybe I just really enjoyed Warped Tour 2015! Leave me a comment below if you have any thoughts on this, agreeing or disagreeing! Also tell me if you went to any of the Warped Tour circuits! As always, thank you for reading! Love, Sydney

You have a really good point. Why have a 'final' tour one year and then another the next year? It's just blatantly not the final one if you can't even leave a few years before coming back. You're right. I mean by all means continue, but don't say you're not going to only to do it straight away!
