Last weekend I attended the opening to an art exhibit on my school campus. It was my first time going to an art show in a long time and my first time going by myself ever! The artist, Trey Duvall, and the curator, Bradly Brown, were the ones who had put together the solo exhibition titled Super Tuning! The theme was paradox. For me what made the art interesting was how everything was given an equal start and yet each had their own “journey”. I think it adds a human element into art which, for contemporary art, can be considered “out of touch” for many sometimes. But let's move onto the art! I really enjoyed viewing this. All of the art was super interactive and I will be trying to go again after Spring Break!
If you'd like to view this yourself: The exhibit runs until April 12th at San Jacinto South Campus in Flickinger Fine Arts Center from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the art gallery, Room 143. There is no charge for admission to the reception or the gallery.
