by Sydney D Hello! So if you follow me on Twitter you know that every week I hop on Twitter to live tweet about whatever show I am crazy about. Last spring was The 100 and this year is Legacies (while The 100 is on hiatus). So I thought why not make a long format of basically a reaction? Why not ... wait for it ... write a review? I know, not Original(s), but I thought it could be fun. So low and behold the first review of this year: Last week's episode of Legacies follows the teens at the Salvatore School as they deal with the two new monsters of the week. Alyssa Chang, a fellow student with an ax to grind with everyone, and a supernatural demon that likes to feed off of insecurities and angry discourse. While this is happening the Saltzman family [Alaric, Josie, Lizzie] is trying to figure out how to get rid of the hourglass of dark magic that Josie has cooked up over the season so far. Okay if I am being honest, I like the fact that they have added a bad guy that has no relation to Malivore. I mean, yes the monster of the week format is God send for Legacies, but I miss the cloak and dagger element that only comes from a season regular backstabbing you. I mean what made Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and shows of the like great is because you get to know the bad guy (or girl) and their backstory! So it’s nice that Alyssa Chang provides that in last week's episode. I'm really interested to see if she'll be a reoccurring issue throughout the show or at least the rest of the season. I also would love to see if she teams up with Kai Parker is he somehow breaks out of the prison world she sent the Saltzman family to. Moving on to romance...I am team Sizzie all the way, yes I know Sebastian is like Klaus/Damon 2.0 but I really *really* don't care. I want Sizzie to be endgame, and if this show can only have on relationship survive the entire show well I will kick #Handon (Landon and Hope Mikaelson) off the ship. Now that we've gotten that out of the way... Now that there is a chance that MG might be with Kaleb's sister Kym, I was hoping they would have some screen time this episode. But maybe that will come with next weeks episode? Overall, last weeks episode was really great! I was captivated from start to finish. I'm looking forward to seeing what cupid and our favorite crazy uncle will bring. See ya'll next week!
